(More customer reviews)When this was opened everyone in the room (adults included) wanted a turn. The images are erased by completely exposing the pages to light so this pad does work best in the dark, although faint light does seem to work ok. The "wand" is attached to the pad with a string, and there is a compartment for the included stencels. It's lightweight and would be very entertaining in a car while traveling at night. Having been asked by my friend's three year old to draw him a panda bear multiple times I can say that this isn't great on detail but how many kids really care about that? Using the stencels, I've successfully drawn space scenes-complete with rocket/flames, stars, and a moon.
