The Original Bubble Tumbler Review

(More customer reviews)My 32 month old loves blowing bubbles, and with this she only spills when she is trying to. She has learned how to manipulate it enough upside down with moving the wand around to make some of the liquid come out on the floor. But I don't leave her alone long with things like this, so now she only gets supervised bubble time. I can let her hold it by herself and not worry about accidental spills like with the regular bubble jar. I use the 50 cent bubbles to refill this one, or make bubble solution myself with dish soap. I also bought the smaller type one for my 16 month old, but she usually puts the wand in her mouth when trying to blow bubbles, but she loves it too. My 32 month old can hold this just fine and blow bubbles, I highly recommend it!

Star Wars Dual Action Lightsaber - JEDI Review

(More customer reviews)This is not a double-bladed light saber like the one that Darth Maul used in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Instead, there is a normal-sized light saber and a mini light saber that can be attached end-end. The mini light saber can either be stored (hidden) inside the handle of the bigger one or inserted in the end of the handle with the blade extended to form a second blade. The normal-sized light saber is not as nice as the other ones we have: it only retracts about two-thirds of the way, not all the way; the blade does not extend at the push of a button, but has to be manually extended. The light effects are just as good though and the sound effects are actually a little better. The mini light-saber lights up but does not make any sound. The light tends to go out when it is inserted in the handle of the larger one to form a double-blade, I think because the button rubs up against the inside of the handle of the larger one. My son seems happy with it, despite it being different from the one Darth Maul used.

Rubies Harry PotterKit Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered this costume for Halloween this year for my obsessed four year old. Like in the other reviews, the wand is great since it's large and not flimsy. I would like it to have a pocket for the wand inside the robe, and it would have looked a little nicer to have the maroon fabric sewn to the robe on the inside. The glasses are really cute, but I'm worried they won't make it til Halloween, we'll have to have Hermoine fix them for us...
As far as what size this "one size fits all" costume is, it's about 36&1/2 inches long from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the robe. The sleeves are 19 inches long from the shoulder seam to finger tip. And the shoulder width is 14 inches wide. I hope this helps!

Harry Potter and the Sorcer's Stone Gryffindor Harry Review

(More customer reviews)I have most of the "action" figures from the Harry Potter sequence. The students are all about 5 ins tall, and surprisingly well made and detailed for the [money] that they cost. They look like the actors in the Warner Bros. film, down to costume and accessories, which is good or not-so-good depending on your point of view (Harry's glasses are silver rather than black). Let me repeat, however: the quality of design and materials is really very good.
Despite being action figures, there is a limited range of positions you can make them assume, mostly because they do not always balance steadily on their own two feet. Hermione, for instance, keels over every time I touch my desk.
The accessories are pretty good. This Harry has a wand and a neat Hedwig. The trouble is, these small bits can get detached from the figure very easily and misplaced. For this reason, I wonder whether the figures are more useful as actual toys to be used by children (not very small children, mind) or as collector's items for HP-obsessed teenagers and adults -- which is why I own them!
Each figure comes with a little trick coin and a token that can be used with the manufacturers' wand duel game to create different effects (which I haven't yet tried).

Flowers are nice, cards are sweet, but I wanted a present that would last for years and maybe even increase in value. And the bonus? I get to spend quality time with my boys reliving the fun of building Lego sets, and the memories we share while building the Harry Potter sets are wonderful. The set that I opened on Mother's Day was....ta-da...Diagon Alley! Great choice, and I get to be a kid again along with them when we construct it later this week. They've done a great job capturing the essence of the Dark Lord in the scene where he fights harry in the graveyard and looks great on my desk. The only thing I can see a problem with is how tiny the wand is. Don't get me wrong, its the proper size, but it's seperate and could see it getting lost very easily. I might superglue it to his hand to prevent this.

(More customer reviews)We received the Dora Fairy Wishes doll from my daughter's grandmother. My daugther is only two years old and the doll is recommended for three and over. She enjoyed combing her hair and listening to her speak and blink her eyes. That is the most I can say for the doll. Unfortunatly for any age user, the doll does not really stand or sit. In the standing position she is so unstable because of her large head that she tips over at the slightest touch. Her legs twist, but not so that she is in a sitting position, more of a split, and falls right over. This leaves only the laying down position for her to be played with. The tiara does not stay on her head at all and falls right off. Her hair seemed to get knotted up quickly so that when you comb it, her hair comes out. We decided to keep the doll only because my daughter enjoys putting her 'to bed' and pretend combing her hair and hugging her (plus it was a gift from grandma), but as far as any other interactive enjoyment, it is lacking. Overall a very poor design.
