(More customer reviews)My daughter was having a Tinker bell themed birthday party, and she desperately wanted a Tinker bell outfit. Well, I searched high and low and found lots of costumes with itchy fabric, or where several parts were sold separately and it added up to a high cost (although cute). And then I found this!
I was almost afraid to order it because the price was so reasonable and I thought the quality might suffer due to this. However, boy was I wrong! Everything is made very well and the fabric is very soft and plentiful. The tutu is about 14" long and the wings are a very good size. I was even impressed with the fairy wand. It is a flower, and it is made of the same type of material as the fairy wings - very durable! I was afraid the flower would be something that would hang down and look sad, but it doesn't at all! The wings are a very good size with sparkles and nice fabric bands for the arms. There is nothing itchy or uncomfortable about this costume at all. Even the halo is really cute and is made of silk flowers and it sets very easily on my daughter's head.
I was very concerned about a top for this costume, but my daughter had a standard pink leotard, and it looks wonderful under it! I was looking for a Tinker bell green leotard, but I couldn't find one that was nice and comfortable and a reasonable price, so the pink it was. She didn't mind one bit. And she just looked absolutely adorable in this outfit. AND, she loved wearing it - which says a lot for a 3 year old.
I think the recommended age for this costume is 4-10, and I think that is about right, depending on the size of your child. The taller you are, the wings may become disproportionate and the tutu may appear very short. So, I would say this is appropriate for a 4-8 year old little girl.
Overall, I am so pleased with this purchase, I couldn't have asked for more. I even went to the manufacturers web site to look for more items. They have tons of cute stuff - however, this was priced better on Amazon than their site. A Fairy Princess : [...]
